Medical marijuana is legal in Washington. The MedMj-WA Website offers free accurate, current news and resources for patients, doctors, providers and police forces about their rights and responsibilities under the state law.

Patients with certain medical conditions are qualified to possess limited amounts of marijuana with their doctor's recomendation. As a qualified patient, you are allowed to grow your own medicine, or find a designated provider to grow it for you. Many patients who are unable to produce marijuana themselves, join a cultivation collective of patients who work together to produce medical-grade cannabis.

The information on this site is provided by The Lifevine Collective and Martin Martinez, a disabled patient who has been developing and implementing medical marijuana law in Washington since his first arrest in 1996. Martin Martinez is a recognized authority on the science of medical cannabis, a published author who has testified in dozens of criminal and civil cases where marijuana patients have been unjustly prosecuted. He also works with the ACLU and members of the WA State Legislature as these new laws evolve and become instituted in Washington.
